Hello,

I've mentioned this problem several times months ago, but now that DX3 is 5
days away, I hope stg is doable about it : with the actual DX versions
(including DX 2.99 available today on SDC), you can create a bar using the
.AppbarMode code. Now let's say your bar is attached to the left edge of
your screen. If you want to offer the ability to change the side of your
bar, you'll create an object to do so.

But now the trouble is : if your bar has an always visible state, changing
its side from the right edge to the left edge of the screen will cause all
the other objects on your desktopx moving to the right.

This behaviour can be tested with any bar (Martin's, Tiggz's... and mines)
available on WinCustomize, or with a new one.

I think we really need an easy way to set the side of a bar via script. Same
thing for top/bottom bar. Something like
DesktopX.Object("My_Bar").AppbarSide = Top (or Right or Left or Bottom).

Thanx for taking care,
Fix

You should post this in support, or send a feature request to stardock.

I've emailed support@stardock.com twice about this problem. Alberto himself, a few months ago, said he'd look at it, but I never had any answer about wether the problem was lokked at or if it was too much work for nothing or any other reason
