Installing DesktopX on a USB Key ?

Hello,

I'd like to use my DesktopX theme at work. So I was wondering if it was possible to install DesktopX on my USB key, since I can't install anything on the computers we have at work. Do I have to install SDCentral on the USB key before DesktopX ?

Nope, I seriously doubt that will work since DX put a few amount of info into the Registry.

Why not talk your boss into to buying OD subs for the entire staff?

I'm working in a school, so... I'm afraid it will be very hard.
I was asking the question just because I remember having read a message from someone saying he was using DX from his USB key...
I don't know when / where it was though, a search with "usb" returns nothing on the forums

just give it a try... if it doesnt work you can always delete it, right? i mean, all you have to do is install it to ur usb key directory. if it doesnt work, delete it! (sorry about repeating myself there). it can hurt to try, can it?

No no no... I won't do it, since obviously it shouldn't work : I just wanted to know if someone had heard about a special way to install it so that it can work on a USB key, since it won't work if I install it in the normal way of course.
Who knows...
